What is a Naturist?

Naturism is all about being in your natural state; happy, healthy and confident in your self.

Social nudity encourages a lifestyle which is in harmony with the natural world. Naturists understand that the human form is not something which should be hidden away for shame or embarrassment, but is the greatest expression of our humanity.

Whatever our shape, size or colour; underneath our clothes we are all the same. Without garments to represent our status, class or style, we become simply ourselves - without the baggage, stereotypes or assumptions that can be associated with the clothed world.

Naturism can be practised in many different ways, and there are many different ways in which to practise naturism. Some people prefer clothing-optional areas, in which they can be nude if they wish, whereas some naturists prefer an exclusively clothes-free environment to ensure that there is no disparity between the clothed and unclothed.

Naturism is the celebration of the freedoms and equality of humanity in its natural state, in harmony with each other and with the natural world.
